Queen Victoria (1819-1901) & Prince Albert (1819-1861) in costume in 1851 for the Restoration Ball, 3rd of 3 Fancy Balls this 1 honoring Charles II by Franz Xaver Winterhalter. Victoria wore a gray dress of gold & silver lace with diamonds in rose ribbons & emeralds. She crown was of diamonds & emeralds. Albert was was in an orange coat with its sleeves turned up with red velvet, breeches of red velvet & stockings of lavender silk. There was a hat with white ostrich feathers.

1860s CDV of a woman in Renaissance fancy dress. Penciled on back is "Duchesse Sforza," and it does look somewhat like an earlier painting of the Duchess (who was English-born but lived in Italy with her husband), although she would have been 42 in 1860. Backstamp is Michele Mang & C., Roma; he appears to have been active 1860-80ish.
