Pull a magnetic letter out a a bag and use a bingo marker to mark it off your sheet. Or pull out the capital letter and they have to mark the lowercase on the sheet. OR give a word and the have to mark the beginning letter sound.
Matching a sentence to a picture. Will probably do these together to model but then have children do individually. Children will read the sentence and match the picture with it. Good way of reading and word association with pictures.
coordinate word work- I could see kids really loving this! Have them roll, locate, write, & highlight. I can totally see this working as part of a spelling contract in upper grades! Could do for math as well. Change words to be facts

Great rolling dice game to teach Word families! Just put consonant dot stickers on one block and a word family ending on the other one. Have the children flip a word family block, then a consonant block to make as many words as possible.
