As a child I loved to visit my aunts farm in Texas. She let me roam and pick all the apples, pears, okra, and tomatoes I could find. I used to stand with my eyes closed and listen to the wind rush through the crops. I loved it.

When I saw this gift from Elenor of Aquitane to her husband Louis the VII in the Louvre, I immediately began to cry (having read about it and seen pictures in books as a child). It stopped my heart to see it right there in front of me. And it's history is amazing!
