Safe Room
In 1951, the Soviets began building this complex, 5.800 hectare. The purpose of it were to house approx 15.000 soldiers (and civilians), and they kept a large amount of tanks, various missiles - including nuclear missiles, ready to launch from both mobile launching units and missile stands in the area. As with most of the Soviet activities in the GDR, the German knew nothing of what were going on here. #Secret #Soviet #Store #Bunker #Nuclear #Warheads
