Kiln fresh, still warm to the touch and back in stock on Tuesday at 7 PM EST. When the seasons change I notice subtle changes in my glazes, little fascinating, sciency things. It was especially warm when I fired this glaze load causing the kiln to cool very slowly. As a result the Amaranth glaze produced subtle crystals in a milky-blue pool of glass. This sculpture of a fire breathing dragon measures 22 cm / 8.7" x 14 cm / 5.5" x 32 cm / 13" from chin to end of tail. It weighs 1.8 kg / 3.9 lb His belly is hollow so that torch oil can be put inside. The inside of the dragon's belly and his mouth are coated with glaze.
