Okay, this is actually a link to Goodreads. This site is like Netflix for books; it's fantastic. You can organize books you've read, are currently reading, and want to read. You can rate them, write reviews, get recommendations, and discuss books with friends. So, all my "books worth reading" are actually here, rather than pinterest.
Definitely worth reading. Although the movie was also excellent. I do wonder how we survived before all the good books became movies.
The Help....my favorite book club read so far! The movie was also pretty excellent.
The Help by Kathryn Stockett Good book, great movie!
The Help: Kathryn Stockett Read this for BookClub - as usual, the book is better than the movie.

The Stand by Stephen King. This is my favorite book of all time. I wish I were as creative.
The Stand by Stephen King - he has a lot of books worth checking out, but most of them you can get the gist of from movies. This one though - READ IT.
The Stand Movie Is Happening: Stephen King’s Book Will Be Four Films! - Movie Fanatic
The Stand is a post-apocalyptic horror/fantasy novel by American author Stephen King. It expands upon the scenario of his earlier short story, Night Surf. The novel was originally published in 1978 and was later re-released in 1990 as The Stand: The Complete & Uncut Edition; King restored some text originally cut for brevity, added and revised sections, changed the setting of the story from 1980 (which in turn was changed to 1985 for the original paperback release in 1980) to 1990
The Stand, or any book by Stephen King is worth reading.

Persuasion, my all-time favorite Jane Austen novel. www.christinelindsay.com
Persuasion est le dernier roman de l'auteur anglais Jane Austen, publié posthumément en décembre 1817 mais daté de 1818. En France, il a paru pour la première fois en 1821 sous le titre : La Famille Elliot, ou L'ancienne inclination. #JaneAusten #Bath
(all of Jane Austen is "worth" reading this one just happens to be my favorite.) -- It has been 8 years since Anne Eliot was persaded by her friend, Lady Russel, to refuse the hand of her sweetheart, the penniless Captain Wentworth. Now alone Anne resigns herself to living quietly surrounded by her nonsensical family until Captain Wentworth returns having made his fortune at sea. Anne sure to meet him again must ask herself if she made the right decision, and if it is too late to alter it.

The Clan of the Cave Bear - this is my favorite book!
The Clan of the Cave Bear. I read the first three books in the Earth's Children series one summer. I was so engrossed, I couldn't put them down! Not even to eat! I'd only remember to eat when the book would start describing a meal being prepared; and even then, I'd only take about a 5 minute break to grab something from the kitchen 'cause I wanted to get back to reading as soon as possible. I lost a lot of weight reading these "diet" books!
Book Review by James Van Leishout of "Clan of the Cave Bear"
Clan of the Cave Bear - Jean M. Auel. Every book except the last in the series is worth reading.

“The Handmaid’s Tale” by Margaret Atwood. A gripping vision of our society radically overturned by a theocratic revolution, Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale has become one of the most powerful and most widely read novels of our time. Offred is a Handmaid in the Republic of Gilead, serving in the household of the enigmatic Commander and his bitter wife. She may go out once a day to markets whose signs are now pictures because women are not allowed to read. She must pr

A Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood Good Read
The Children’s Book by A.S. Byatt is the absorbing story of the close of what has been called the Edwardian summer: the deceptively languid, blissful period that ended with the cataclysmic destruction of World War I. In this compelling novel, A.S. Byatt summons up a whole era, revealing that beneath its golden surface lay tensions that would explode into war, revolution and unbelievable change — for the generation that came of age before 1914

Stephen Fry's Making History. Took me a while to get into, since my reading got interrupted quite frequently, but definitely worth reading.
"theater is dead, but sometimes i like to go watch the corpse decompose". what happens if you try and alter history? funny, creative, light, a page-turner. doesnt leave me with any strong feelings of attachment, but does make me want to read more Stephen Fry.
