Khoua Her (1974 - ): Minnesota mother who strangled her six children, ages 5 to 11, in 1998 because she was apparently depressed and overwhelmed. In a plea deal, Khoua Her received 50 years in prison on six counts of second-degree murder.
Stella Nickell was sentenced to 90 years in prison on five counts of product tampering in the two June 1986 deaths. She poisoned her husband, Bruce, 52, with cyanide-filled extra-strength Excedrin capsules to collect $ 176,000 in life insurance, and later put bottles of poisoned capsules on store shelves to create the impression of a random killer. The second victim was a customer of one of the stores, Susan Snow, 40. Three more bottles of contaminated pills were found in stores.
Kenisha Berry might have gotten away with her crime had she not duplicated it. The Texas woman used duct tape to bind her four day old son and left him to suffocate in a dumpster near her home. It was six years later that Berry's daughter Parris was found in the same spot, bitten severely by ants but alive. Berry confessed to both crimes. A death sentence in the murder was commuted to life in prison with parole possible at 40 years. 3 other children are in foster care.
DR - Manling Tsang Williams smothered her two sons Devon, 7, and Ian, 3, before going out for a night on the town. She returned home and attacked her sleeping husband Neal Williams, 27, slashing him 97 times with a katana sword on Aug 7, 2007. She then wrote a suicide note, trying to make it look like Neal killed the boys before killing himself. Manling was sentenced to death on Jan. 18, 2012.
Katherine Knight- the first Australian woman to be sentenced to a life term without parole . She stabbed her husband over 37 times, then skinned him and hung is skin from teh door frame in the living room, cut off his head and put it in a soup pot, baked his buttocks, and prepared gravy and vegetables to go with the "roast". She then set out a vindictive note and the meal for her children, which luckily was discovered by police before the children arrived home.
Susan Leigh Vaughan Smith (born September 26, 1971) is an American woman sentenced to life in prison for murdering her children. Born in Union, South Carolina, and a former student of the University of South Carolina Union, she was convicted on July 22, 1995 for murdering her two sons, 3-year-old Michael Daniel Smith, born October 10, 1991, and 14-month-old Alexander Tyler Smith, born August 5, 1993.
