Carine Roitfeld hasn’t slowed down since ending her decade-long editorship of Vogue Paris last year. She launched the magazine CR Fashion Book, collaborated with MAC on a cosmetics collection, was named the first global fashion director of Harper’s Bazaar and became a grandmother.

At 58, Carine Roitfeld is more in demand than ever. According to WWD, the editrix worked both sides of the camera for Givenchy's fall 2013 campaign--styling and starring in it. While Roitfeld is no stranger to styling high profile ad spots, this is the first high fashion campaign she's fronted.

As you have noticed from my blog posts, I think the pencil skirt is the holy grail of workwear for women. I love how simple it is to style it in interesting new ways and it always looks good. One of the reasons I like Carine Roitfeld's style for workwear inspiration is that she wears pencil skirts a lot. See the 30 examples below. She is a master of styling them in fun new ways. Notice the different tops, belts, and shoes she wears with her pencil skirts. The other reason I like following Carine's style is that she wears the same thing multiple ways. As you can see from the pictures below, there are pencil skirts that repeat, but also shoes and accessories she re-styles.

Carine Roitfeld. Love the cut on the skirt and simple pairing with a black ballerina shaped t. (I would wear with black shoes, but that's just me.)
Carine Roitfeld...She may have resigned as the editor of French Vogue in 2010, but Roitfeld's influence over the fashion world hasn't waned. She is famed for her provocative aesthetic, a look she honed styling Tom Ford's campaigns for Yves Saint Laurent and Gucci.
Great patterned skirt + black boat-neck top, lovely. Carine Roitfeld.
