Ófærufoss, Iceland :: This is a waterfall in the river Ófæra that runs into the Eldgjá volcanic chasm. The Eldgjá chasm (crater in the shape of a canyon) was most likely created in an eruption in the year 934.
Inspired by the world-famous staircase in Rio de Janeiro, the 16th Avenue Tiled Steps in San Francisco boast a colorful mosaic on the 163 steps of this outdoor staircase. Created by Irish ceramist Aileen Barr and mosaic artist Colette Crutcher, with the help of over 300 community volunteers, the 16th Avenue Tiled Steps took over a two and a half years to finish.

"Ventotene" by Aldo Cicelyn // Ventotene, in Roman times known as Pandataria or Pandateria from the Greek Pandoteira, is one of the Pontine Islands in the Tyrrhenian Sea, 25 nautical miles (46 km) off the coast of Gaeta right at the border between Lazio and Campania, Italy. The municipality of Ventotene, of the province of Latina (Lazio) has 708 permanent residents as of 2008.
