I did an extensive "Voting Unit" every year that incorporated every subject area. Perfect for this November. I made a ballot box and used these books as well. Great for kids to learn!

Branches of Government. 5th graders will learn through social studies and art. Constructing a tree which has each branch of the government. Students can enjoy the art part of the activity while learning through social studies.

This would be great for social studies. Wonderful idea for teaching city, state, country and how they relate! I could see this as a great 3rd grade project or even 2nd grade. I would not do this for High School but still very neat

Great idea for Geography. At CC we have used licorice for rivers, candy corns for mountains, small M and M's for location find games and blue gumdrops for large bodies of water. the kids love this.
