My program is using the Zones of Regulation Curriculum this year and so I set out to make some engaging tools to use with it. Included are: a poster for each zone with a charactera mini size color/charactera mini size feeling identification chartEnjoy!
Marzano: "This is probably one of my favorite things for my classroom so far. It’s a little self-assessment flip chart. I have made one for each student and it will sit on the corner of their desk. It is small enough that it won’t be embarrassing for the student but it’s big enough that I can see at a glance who is having trouble with the topic and who is doing fine. I might not use it for every lesson, but I do think that if I get the kids into the habit of using the flip chart..."
Emotions paper plate cards can be made by toddlers can later be discussed in grouptime. By exploring the different emotions of these plates can help the toddler identify their facial expression with the way they are feeling on the inside. Love this for emotion development and social development, it is important for toddlers learn empathy for others emotions.
