Wow...love the quote. ..opinion really is nothing. We are all entitled to it. However it isn't based off of fact
opinions are really the lowest form of human knowledge. quotes. wisdom. advice. life lessons.
Bill Bullard | "The highest form of knowledge is empathy ..." quote.
Really, we put way too much stock in other people's opinions.
Anyway I don't really care about most people's opinions.

(Brian Andreas, Story People: Selected Stories & Drawings of Brian Andreas). ~ Someone said something similar to me once. It was totally unexpected while sitting in a seedy Chinese restaurant lounge waiting for take-out. He explained to me, in intricate detail, every little movement & sound I made throughout the night as I slept next to him, and how cute he found it. My heart melted.
LOVE Brian Andreas...if you don't know his "Story People", check them out...www.storypeople.com I have several of his prints--great gifts and anywhere.

The Virgin Suicides One of my favourite books + film. The film adaption does actually do the book justice.
275. The Virgin Suicides. Jeffrey Eugenides - The story, which is set in Grosse Pointe, Michigan during the 1970s, centers on the suicides of five sisters. The Lisbon girls' suicides fascinate their community as their neighbors struggle to find an explanation for the acts.
The Virgin Suicides...my favorite book when I was younger. The movie version was actually a decent adaptation.

The Virgin Suicides Jeffrey Eugenides
Must put on my "to read" list.
Jennifer from Book-alicious Mama, had a fan-flanging-tastic idea for this week's #coverho post: a wedding theme! Because we are 12 days from go-time! From my very own wedding day. So today we're bringing you the best of old, new, borrowed and blue! Old is subjective, especially since this one came out in 1993, but since it's been 21 years now, I think we can safely put The Virgin Suicides into the "old" category. While I didn't love this one, I always loved the mysterious awkwardness of the cover. These are some of the new beauties on my shelves. In order to make Valentine's Day super easy this year, David and I agreed to give each other gift cards. I immediately ran out and bought these gorgeous little volumes from the Penguin Great Food series! While it's technically not "borrowed" it was a gift from the one-and-only Jennifer herself! I'm so glad she gifted me her ARC of Boy, Snow, Bird. It is truly one of my favorite covers in a while. And last but not least...it's one of my favorite books and one of my favorite covers! The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake was a winner for me all-around. What are your faves: old, new, borrowed and blue?
The Twilight Sad from Kilsyth, Scotland are James Graham (vocals), Andy MacFarlane (guitar), and Mark Devine (drums). Here they share some of the graphic novels and books which make The Twilight Sad – click on the book covers and read the review for the band members’ comments.
Literates and Prurient Page Turners, A little reminder since we are 2 weeks away.... THE VIRGIN SUICIDES Our current title The Virgin Suicides is the debut novel of literary star Jeffrey Eugenides . Though morose and deeply disturbing in content, Eugenides uses the voice of the neighborhood boys and their observations of the mysterious Lisbon sisters to craft a haunting and darkly comic story. Vacillating between past and present the novel paints a portrait of isolation, longing and fascination. In 1999 Sofia Coppola made her full length directing debut with a visually stunning adaptation of the novel. Strange, distant and lush with soundtrack the film's moving snapshot quality gave life to the sound and color of the 1970's. Our Meeting for our March title will be held Monday April 11th,2011 McMenamin's Backstage Bar 3702 SE Hawthorne Blvd.( behind Greater Trumps) 21+/ 7:00pm A special screening of The Virgin Suicides (1999) will follow in the theater @ 8:30 pm Crack That Spine, Nico Bella Instigatrix The First Rule of Book Club NOTE **If you still need to acquire your copy please visit our friends Powell's on Hawthorne. Do you think series are just written for girls these days?? Well, try The Maze Runner by James Dashner. It's story about a group of guys (and, okay, 1 girl) who are stuck in The Glade, which is an alternative universe. The second book, "The Scorch Trials" & a third, "The Death Cure" are both out, with a pre-quel to be published real soon. It's also being adapted into a feature-length film next year.

The Maze Runner (Maze Runner Trilogy, Book 1) [Paperback], (dystopian fiction, young adult, james dashner, dystopia, teen, sci-fi adventure, dystopian, science fiction, fantasy adventure, the hunger games)
The Maze Runner (book 1) written by James Dashner. This is such a good clean book and I recomend it to anyone who liked Hunger Games or Divergent!
Young adult lit: The Maze Runner (trilogy) - if you enjoyed The Hunger Games, this book is a good match. It has similar ideas. It's not quite as good as the hunger games, but is still a good read.
Book Review: The Maze Runner by James Dashner - the latest young adult dystopian series that is being made into a movie. This is a good addition to the young adult dystopian book world. It has real contributions without being just a knock off Hunger Games. In spite of the cliff hanger, there is a real conclusion to the book. (click through for the full review)
The Maze Runner - James Dashner. This is on my 'to read' ebook list. The first of a (trilogy?), this is a young adult series, sounding a tiny bit similar to The Hunger Games. A kid wakes up with no memory, in a place called the Glade, with others just like him. It has me curious, but I'm not expecting excellence like HG.
The Maze Runner (book 1 of trilogy) - it's no Hunger Games, but very very good...
The Maze Runner (Book #1) by James Dashner. One of my favorite books!!!!!!!!

'Eat, Pray, Love' by Elizabeth Gilbert great book movie not so much
Eat, Pray, Love: One Woman's Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia The book is the story of one woman's search, in three different countries, to find herself. First she goes to Italy, then to India and then to Indonesia. The book is in three equal sections, one for each country. As a result I found it a little disjoint, almost being three different stories. But by the end of the book I was enjoying it. In the middle section she goes to an Ashran in India to pursue her spiritual journey and discovers her strengths and weaknesses. In the final part she is mixing with the locals as well as learning meditation from the local spiritual man. I found the book informative and insightful. It is a bestseller, but personally not one of my favorite books. But I loved this talk by Elizabeth Gilbert on TED http://www.ted.com/talks/elizabeth_gilbert_on_genius.html And here's the movie, with Julia Roberts, which I found very true to the book Eat Pray Love Pin It
The Book Vixen is hosting a book club for Eat Pray Love, which is one of my all-time favorite books. I can not begin to explain to you how much I love this book, but I will try over the course of the next month. You can still join in if you would like, just head over to the Book Vixen and sign up. Today's assignment: What preconceived notions do you have of the book as a first time reader? What have you heard about it? What do you anticipate going into it? Why do you want to read it? This is where my answer will be different then everyone else because I am on the only one in the book club who has read the book before. I honestly can't remember what my feelings were going in to the book but I read the book at a time in my life where I sort of felt like I was falling apart. They were not good times, and there was something about reading this book, about another woman going through the same thing that was incredibly powerful. I don't know if I would love this book nearly as much if I read it at a different time in my life, a time like now when everything is more pulled together. Now, I anticipate that there will be people in the book club who don't love it as fiercely as I do, and there may be people who don't even like it and that is fine. I also can't wait to re-read it now, I have read it multiple times, and I often go back to it when I am having a tough day and just read some of my favorite passages but it will be interesting to read it cover to cover and discuss it now and see how differently I feel about it. There will be EPL Book Club posts on July 8, July 11, July 20 and July 31. Also be on the lookout for a special vlog that I will do to show you my worn and ragged, but loved, copy of the book in the next few days. Head over to The Book Vixen and see what everyone else is anticipating from the book.
Very, very good! It was so good that I felt compelled to write in the margins!

Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte. I 'stole' (read as: checked out and never returned then Paid the fee so I could graduate") from our high school library. Read it while getting my WASP tan on between my junior and senior year. Fell in love with the Bronte sisters. Can read this again and again.
Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte. Obsessive love story long before the Twilight series.
