Back then, Josh Lanyon offered a script evaluation service for a price. I sent the draft I did after the 2009 Nanowrimo and nearly shelved the whole project. It was only when I did the sort of research noted here and fleshed these into real characters that the book became worthy of printing. It's still not perfect but would have been a lot worse without Josh's help.
I did a lot of reading and research about the progress of the HIV plague in preparation for writing the book. Not so much because I wanted to refer to it, but I wanted to get a feel for the horror of the early years when there was at first no knowledge and then no treatment. This book is a hard read but well worth it.
