Pinning this so I don't lose the link. Made this several times last year and it was the absolute best new thing I made at Thanksgiving. We snuck bits of it all night and the next morning, too. Never bothered with either topping. So moist. Definitely keep the almond extract. Didn't try the kirsch. I'm pinning this for me, but you should definitely make it too and then we can swoon together.
