I found a tutorial on how they did Katniss's hair in the movies. Apparently it's a little more than just a Dutch braid. The tutorial is done by Cute Girls Hairstyles on YouTube, but they got the information from Jennifer Lawrence's hairstylist, Linda Flowers, herself via Skype. I think it's worth the watch. And there's some trivia in there, too, like why Katniss's braid was so low on her head.
