The complexity of diagnosing ADD/ADHD and the need to develop individualized and holistic treatment plans is becoming more obvious every year. New understanding of the disorder now focuses on delayed development of Executive Functioning skills, emotion dysregulation, and the need to identify and treat possible comorbidities. While diagnosis and treatment is more involved than in the past, this approach offers new hope for the future of individuals with ADHD and their families.
