This activity begins with an eight script readers’ theater about four important presidents: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, and Theodore Roosevelt. A special competition is being held and students will be picking, “America’s Top President.” The focus of the script is on the accomplishments of these presidents during their terms. Check it out! On sale at TpT.

Common Core requires that students understand complex text independently. Here's a quick way for students to practice that just takes a few minutes but really uses thinking skills! This would work well independently or in partners. It would also be great in an independent writing center or as a bell-ringer activity. Students analyze/ respond to a quotation (or more than one) of Theodore Roosevelt. EIGHT different quotation sheets are included. Check out my other Quick Quotations sets! ($)
