Lava Flow, some people call it a Miami Vice… either way this Pina Colada with Strawberry is damn delicious! This cocktail is frosty and cold and sure to cool you down. Malibu coconut rum, cream of coconut, light (white) rum, frozen strawberries, pineapple juice, a fresh pineapple (optional for garnish), and some ice. Some variations use banana. I feel that banana can be a little overpowering.

Raspberry Lemondrop... 2 1/2 oz Citron vodka 2 oz Sweet Sour mix ½ oz Chambord 2 tbsp triple sec juice of 1 lemon 2 packages sugar Pour all ingredients into a shaker except for the Chambord, that comes last . Shake cold with ice, and strain into a sugar rimmed martini glass. Now pour just 1/2oz of the Chambord. When pouring, touch the end of the pour spout to the inside for the martini glass. The Chambord will naturally sink to the bottom of the cocktail giving you a layered effect
Raspberry Lemon Drop From California Pizza Kitchen Image Source 1 1/2 oz cirtrus vodka (suggested Ketel One Citroen) 3/4 oz Triple Sec 1/2 oz Chambord Liqueur 1 oz Sweet & Sour mix Juice from two lemon wedges lemon twist & sugar for rimming glass, optional If desired rub a lemon wedge around the rim of a martini glass and dip in sugar to coat the rim. In metal mixing tin, fill with ice, add vodka, triple sec, Sweet & Sour and juice from two lemon wedges. Shake thoroughly and strain into chilled martini glass. Pour Chambord down the center of the drink for layered affect (red bottom, yellow/white up top). Garnish with a lemon twist if desired.

Iced Strawberry Lemonade - Place 10 strawberries and 1/3 cup of sugar, 1/2 cup of ice and 1/2 cup of water in the blender. Pureed. Pour into the bottom of 4 glasses. Rinse your blender, put in 4 whole lemons (rinds cut off), 3 cups ice, 1 1/2 cup water. Blend until smooth. Pour immediately over the strawberry mixture. Serve with straws and spoons & enjoy!

Orange Push-Up Smoothie (Vegan, Gluten Free) 1 can orange juice concentrate, slightly thawed 1 cup milk (half and half, cream, nut milk, soy milk) 1 cup sugar, or to taste (you can reduce the sugar or use an alternate sugar substitute such as stevia but it won’t taste as close to classic Orange Push-Ups) 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 2 cups ice Combine all ingredients in a large blender or Vita-Mix and blend until smooth and creamy. If desired, add a splash of water, more milk, or more ice if your mixture is thicker than desired. Makes approximately three eight-ounce portions. Tips: Pour excess portions into glasses and thaw later and drink as smoothies; pour excess into bowls and freeze for orange sherbet; or pour into Popsicle molds, paper cups, or ice cube trays and freeze for homemade Push-Ups. Or halve the recipe by cutting the can of orange juice concentrate in half and halving all other ratios.

Glowing Green smoothie for weight loss. Glowing Green One of my absolute favorite things is a Green Smoothie. It’s a fast, easy, and delicious way to get a big dose of vitamins and minerals, plus it tastes FANTASTIC!! Don’t let the color’s fool you!! It is sweet and filling – even the kids love it!! They love to name it the “Monster Smoothie” or “Shreck Smoothie” or some other fun name but believe me, kids go crazy for it!! And it’s a great way to sneak in some powerful green nutrition into their diet. It’s super fast to make and a great breakfast or snack option, especially for people on the go and those looking to lose weight. It takes about 1 min to make, literally!! This recipe is super simple. All you need is a blender and the following ingredients: 1-2 bananas 1/2 cup frozen peaches 1/2 cup frozen mango a couple handfuls of spinach water ice (if desired) Add enough water to blend and enjoy, that’s it! Forget the dehydrating morning latte and get the glow with a Green Smoothie instead. I’ve have clients who have literally changed their lives just by adding Green Smoothies into their routine. Great for weight loss, digestive health, supporting the immune system, and as a healthy and filling snack. After a couple of weeks you’ll have that ‘Glow’ – glowing skin, hair, nails, even eyes get brighter! Who doesn’t want that?! I love, love, LOVE my VitaMix and highly recommend investing in one if you are ready to make serious changes to your diet. I have had mine for almost 5 years and use it daily! If you’re not ready to drop that kind of cash, Hamilton Beach makes some great budget friendly blenders that you can get at your local Walmart or Target. If you can not do bananas for any reason simply leave it out or substitute any other fruit you like. If you want a creamier consistency, you can substitute avocado or coconut meat/flakes instead of the banana. If you want the smoothie to be BRIGHT green as pictured, use only lighter colored fruits like pineapple, green grapes, kiwi, green apples, yellow raspberries, pear, orange, etc. If you add darker fruits like strawberries, cherries, etc your smoothie will turn out to be more of a brown color – still DELICIOUS, just not as vibrantly green as in the pictures above. Can I add yogurt or milk to my green smoothie? I am a firm believer in proper food combining. Dairy does not combine well with fruit and will cause fermentation, yeast, digestive issues, and will not aid in weight loss. That’s the reason I don’t recommend adding yogurt or any other dairy products. Believe me, you will be satisfied with the smoothies, the recipe will make about a quart which will definitely fill you up!! If you have blood sugar issues, use avocado and/or coconut meat/flakes and semi-sweet fruits like grapefruit, berries, green apples, and add stevia to taste. Each night remove one and let thaw on the counter or in the fridge so that the next morning it’s ready to go. A lot of people ask how many calories are in the Green Smoothie. I don’t EVER worry about calories! When you’re eating whole foods, especially raw unprocessed fruits and vegetables, you don’t have to!! That’s what is SO LIBERATING about it!! If you must know, you can use an online calculator like fitday.com but know that those details don’t matter when you’re eating whole foods!
