Irena Sendlerowa: A phenomenal woman and member of Zegota, a secret organization dedicating to rescuing Polish Jews. She handed out money and clothes, and smuggled children to safety through sewers. She bribed her way out of execution and later was honored by the Polish government for "rescuing the most defenseless victims of Nazi ideology" (children) and was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Irena Sendler got permission to work in a Warsaw Ghetto as a plumber. She courageously smuggled babies in her tool box and carried larger children in a sack. She trained her dog to bark when Nazis were near. She saved 2500 children.
