'1000 shadows' by Brazilian artist Herbert Baglione - eerie shadows float out of empty wheelchairs, trailing up cracked and peeling walls and slinking under doorways in a series of paintings in an abandoned mental hospital in Parma, Italy. Are those balls....
Creepy Art in Abandoned Psychiatric Hospitals For a project entitled “1,000 Shadows,” Brazilian street artist Herbert Baglione invaded abandoned hospital wards in Madrid, Paris and other undisclosed locales to add ghostly shadows to the already eerie buildings. Spindly, stretched ghosts emerge under doors, float through windows and emerge out of objects’ shadows.
Painted Shadows in an Abandoned Psychiatric Hospital - 1000 Shadows is an ongoing project by Brazilian street artist Herbert Baglione that features eerie shadows taking residence in abandoned buildings. This is located in Parma, Italy.

Mixed media that adds meaning/impact: Mirrored Photographs Combined with Watercolor by Fabienne Rivory watercolor collage
French artist Fabienne Rivory created these gorgeous images by combining mirrored photographs with watercolor. The project, “Miroir”, is part of a larger exploration of interactions between photography and painting, real world and imagination, memories and reality. “These are dreamed images trying to recreate a momentary emotion that anyone can feel in front of nature’s beauty, a particular architectural shape, a landscape passing by or the silhouette of a beloved one.” – Fabienne Rivory

Russia-based artist Leonid Tishkov and photographer Boris Bendikov have collaborated to created a series titled Private Moon, which chronicles the relationship between a man and the illuminated planet[sic]. Tishkov calls this installation a “visual poem, telling the story about a man who found the Moon and stayed with her for the rest of his life.” [click through for more pics]

Double Exposure Photography Tutorial by Sara K Byrne x VSCO Film™
Sara K Byrne Her images are double exposures – a technique that originated with film cameras. Basically a segment of film would be exposed to light twice. The darker areas in the first photograph would record light in the second photograph. Byrne uses a digital camera, one of a handful of models that can perform the same technique.
