Organizing Papers

Consider how you will collect work. When all students are turning in materials at the same time, one efficient procedure is to have papers passed in a given direction until you have all papers in your hands. Papers or assignments turned in by students at varying times can be placed in labeled baskets, trays, or plastic containers. Look over, grade, record, and return assignments quickly. Checking should be done within a day of work completion so that students can benefit from the feedback.
