Another favourite with me and the kids. Hits all the high notes (like most of Sandra Boynton's books) - funny, great pictures and it can be read really quickly!
George and Martha" laugh-out-loud funny stories and illustrations about two endearing hippos. Stories are very brief - so you can bang off five or six in a row and still get your kid to bed on time!
Another childhood classic. I LOVED this book and now my son does. (We both love pasta!!!) Even more fun if you read dialogue with an Italian accent.
The Church Mice books are true gems. We discovered them while on a trip to the UK in the early 80s and their humour is quintessentially British. Incredibly detailed, adorable and hilarious illustrations as well.
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon - one of the most visually spectacular films I've ever watched - from the fight choreography to the cinematography to the costumes and characters themselves.
When You Were Small - another beauty by Sara O'Leary and Julie Morstad.
A new favourite among my long list of children's books. The illustrations are wonderful and my son loves it.
Alphabeasties is such a great children's book. Animals made entirely out of letters plus many fold-out pages. Fantastic design!
One of my favourite kids' books - fun story and lovely illustrations...in woodblock, I think?
Oh No, George - Chris Haughton. Another fabulous children's book with wonderful copy and illustrations.
