I've been taking issue lately with the quest for "happy" and the idea that a good life is a "happy" life. It leaves no room for the wide range of emotions a full life actually includes and it suggests that to NOT be happy is somehow a flaw or lacking. What if it's not happiness but contentment we want to rediscover? What if it's within emotional neutrality that we find ourselves again. Homeostasis. Equilibrium. The balance you were born with.
