The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, and Mocking Jay by Suzanne Collins: The best book series I've read since Harry Potter. They are all very violent, but amazingly written with a very thought inspiring plot. A lot of discussion could come from these books. I'm very excited about the movie! Collins also has a children's series, Gregor the Overlander. I actually read this series first and didn't even realized it was the same author until I finished The Hunger Games series. I recommend this series!!

Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte was probably the most depressing romance novel I have ever read! The only 2 characters I truly liked was Ellen Dean and the narrator, besides that, each character was so obviously flawed; possibly excepting Joseph. I truly enjoyed the book and I would recommend watching it before the movie, I've only seen the version from the 50s? but it led my expectations astry. . . .so read the book first!

I was hesitant because I was so annoyed by Darcy in 'Something Borrowed.' But I'm glad I took the plunge anyway. Giffin once again makes you root for and love a character you should, or once hated. An excellent story of redemption and growth. A sequel worth reading.
