Agapathus- Agapanthus requires full sun and a fertile soil which should be moist rather than dry, but not boggy. They are fleshy-rooted plants that produce clumps of sword like foliage which dies back in winter to emerge again the following spring. Blooms lean toward the sun.
Pennisetum Rubrum "Fireworks" Looks like something from a Dr Suess book! Pennisetum Rubrum is my favorite grass, I wish it was a perennial around here, I'll have to remember to get some for around he house this year.

Purple fountain grass that is perennial (zones 8-11). ‘Vertigo’ grass from Proven Winners is even more striking than fountain grass. Reaching 2’ to 3’ tall by 2’ wide, ‘Vertigo’ is heat loving and long flowering.
