When the boys were little, we placed our town on the piano and moved Mary and Joseph around the bookshelves in the room - moving towards the town - during Advent. The shepherds were off to one side of the town. The wise men were in another room and slowly progressed toward the living room. During Epiphany they would make it to Bethlehem. I loved doing that with the boys.
