Yarn Storage System - Repeat Crafter Me
I’ve tried many different yarn storage systems over the years. Shelving in my craft space, baskets by my bed, laundry baskets in my closet, and rubbermaid bins to name a few. All of these resulted in piles of tangled yarn and it was impossible to find what I needed, when I needed it. It was time …

my yarn storage solution
For those of you who do not understand my love for yarn, you may just want to check out here and move on to the next blog. But for those of you who love yarn and are maybe looking for an appealing way to store it, read on. I've had four big plastic totes stacked up in our master bedroom closet for the last eight months or so. And since our closet is narrow, every time I wanted to get into the bins, I had to pick a bin up and back out of the closet with it. And I repeated this, bin by bin…

Adrialys Handmade Creations
My First sample using Aunt Lydia's Violet Crochet thread. Recently while looking around the needlework section at my local hobby lobby I discovered Tatting. They had a couple of books so I decided to buy them and give it a try. There are two different types: needle and shuttle. Looking around online it seems that most people tat with shuttles but I leaned how to to do needle tatting first. I learned by using the book Learn Needle Tatting Step-by-Step by Barbara Foster and it already came…
Getting Stitched on the Farm
I feel like a hypocrite after yesterday's post. I am off to Detroit to do three segments on Shay Pendray's Needlearts Studio PBS t.v. Show. I fly today and return Friday night. I am totally ill-prepared but since I'm talking about what I know, I think I can pull it together okay. I have quite a few hours in the hotel for swatching and with the illustration deadline, I haven't had time to do anything but draw and paint. Our sweet little farmhouse looks like a bomb hit it, but I'm leaving and…
How To: Tips For Giving Your Filing Cabinet A Massive Overhaul

First, begin by laying out all the paperwork and file folders you already have to assess the situation like Jen has done in them image above over on I Heart Organizing. It will be easier to get everything…
A Teetering Tower of Yarn
Q: What does a Morrgan do when she receives a tall CD-tower? A: She fills it up with yarn, of course! Alas, I must admit it's not the most practical form of storage. Even a tower this tall will only hold a fraction of my yarns. Sure, I was able to empty a whole box of yarn into this, but there's another 8 boxes of yarn in the storage room. It does look rather pretty though, doesn't it? =) Some colour is just what that empty white space needed.
