    Writing Inspiration

Pinterest is a wonderful way for me to create a digital inspiration board for my writing journey. I know it will help me move through writer's block and days when I judge myself harshly for what I have or have not written. My inspiration Pinterest board might even inspire another writer. That would be a double blessing!

"There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you." ~ Maya Angelou • What stories are you carrying inside you that are yearning to be freed onto the page? What stories are you carrying inside that, once freed onto the page, will also free you? Whatever they are, write one of them. Now. ~ Maya Angelou: The Call to Write. More at bit.ly/GBinxR. Today I needed to hear "Eat, Pray, Love" author Elizabeth Gilbert talk about her life as a writer during her TED Talk. She talks about the fear of not giving birth to great work after having success with her Eat, Pray, Love book. I've been feeling this fear with my current book project.

I repinned this pin after reading it on Kelly N's Pinterest board. It is a reminder of why ebooks are the wave of the future. I still think the publishing of physical books will remain.

I adore SheWrites.com, a social networking community for women writers. I was inspired by a recent blog post: Want to Write Memoir? Let Me Introduce Myself and My Manifesto. Maybe We can Help. Posted by Marion Roach Smith. Smith's Writing What You Know: Realia book saved me from myself during my memoir writing process in 2010. I learned so much from her memoir writing book. She always inspires me to get out of my head and write from a place of authenticity.
