Such a funny movie
Life With Father (1947) Based on Clarence Day Jr.'s memoirs about growing up with his semi-tyrannical father, this wonderful comedy is truly one of the classics. William Powell stars as Father, a Wall Street broker who likes to think he rules the roost. But when a small crisis over his religious upbringing causes havoc, it becomes clear that it's really his adoring wife (Irene Dunne) and their enterprising children who pull the strings.
Life with Father is a 1947 American comedy film. It tells the true story of Clarence Day, a stockbroker who wants to be master of his house, but finds his wife and his children ignoring him, until they start making demands for him to change his own life. In keeping with the autobiography, all the children in the family (all boys) are redheads. It stars William Powell and Irene Dunne as Clarence and his wife, supported by Elizabeth Taylor as a beautiful teenage girl.

North by Northwest (1959) Directed by Alfred Hitchcock, starring Cary Grant and Eva Marie Saint. Just got round to watching this..! After 4 years studying film! tut. Amazing suit. He's an Ad man. Caught red handed (apparently) killing a member of the UN, he's forced to get his suit dirty. For a 2 hour plus film, it's never boring. Bernard Herman's score sets the stage for this classic thriller. Another goodun from old Hitch.

"Holiday Inn" was so popular that it spawned two movies based on two of it's songs: "Easter Parade" and "White Christmas". But many agree that this is the superior of these three movies. The musical numbers are outstanding! You've probably heard of it, but may not have seen it for many years, if ever.

Harvey (1950). Possibly one of the best movies ever....Jimmy Stewart is perfectly cast. A personal favorite. Harvey is a 1950 film based on Mary Chase's play of the same name, directed by Henry Koster, and starring James Stewart and Josephine Hull. The story is about a man whose best friend is a pooka named Harvey—in the form of a six-foot, three-and-a-half-inch tall invisible rabbit. -Wikipedia
Harvey -- James Stewart (1950) What a great movie! ~Stewart said that this was his all time favorite movie to do.~
It doesn't seem like a movie about a six foot tall invisible rabbit would work but, thanks to Jimmy Stewart, it just does. This movie just makes me happy.
