Saint John's and St.Vincent Health have partnered with Anderson University to create the Saint John's Center for Clinical Excellence. The center features the latest technology in patient simulation: the SimMan® 3G. This technology is the next generation of simulators from Laerdal Simulation, providing advanced training to Anderson University students and nurses in the community.
Global education is an important component of both the Anderson University BSN and MSN programs, with a required intercultural experience in the curriculums. Students have the opportunity to travel, at a reduced rate, to far away places providing nursing care to the citizens of that community.
Though the Pyxis® MedStation® System is found in hospitals across the country, it is rare to find such a system in a nursing school. Thanks to a generous donation by Community Hospital in Anderson, the School of Nursing at Anderson University is one of only a few nursing schools in the state of Indiana to feature a Pyxis® MedStation® System in its campus lab.
The RN-BSN Completion Program is designed as a hybrid program, providing both courses in a classroom setting as well as online. The nursing courses may be completed in 16 months. Students are prepared at the generalist level to provide care for patients, which includes individuals, families, groups, communities and populations.
