Middle school bulletin board idea: "Believe in your #selfie" Have each student take a selfie and put it up with a #adjective that describes them. "Do something today for which your future self will thank you." The kids love seeing their faces in the hallway and it builds a grade-level community too.
Friendship Friday! I work on community building ALL year and want my students to appreciate each other, especially at this time of year. Thank you to my two students for thinking of this great idea! #buildingcommunity #friends #interactive #miss5thswhiteboard
Watch Your Pulse! Insert a toothpick into a marshmallow and watch your heartbeat. A great activity to do in February! http://whattheteacherwants.blogspot.com/2011/02/science-experiments-for-elementary.html
What the Teacher Wants!: Science Experiments for Elementary
A great science journal activity that will provide some work for the students' hands and also their minds! Colorful and fun, students can use this to study the Elements, Molecules, Compounds, the Periodic Table and its history.
