To Kill a Mockingbird Book | Harper Lee- honestly one of the best books I've ever read. Really gives insight to life at the times.   I recommend the book for summer reading, grades 7 and up, but anyone younger should ask a parent first, because of some language and other things.

The Goonies

The Goonies One of my all-time favorite movies as a kid. I remember watching it on the back porch of my great-uncle's house on the Ohio River with my cousins one summer. My whole family loves it and we have a recurring joke about "that kid from Goonies.

This is a classic story of sisterly love, compassion and goodness.  It was also one of the first novels that I read to myself as a little girl.
