31 quarters in the jar at the beginning of the month, every day that they do not do their chores, they lose a quarter. Whatever is left at the end of the month they exchange for cash and the quarter jar is refilled. Not to do "allowance" for chores, but rather teach chores/responsibilities as how they contribute to family.
The abc's to being a good parent. I'm doing a pretty good job, but there's always room for improvement! I'm lacking in the patience and play departments. I haven't been able to "play" in a carefree manner like other kids since I was 6 or 7. I've studied my peers/ other parents for years, but I can't get the hang of it. Laid back attitude, yes. But care free playing? Not sure....
