1,000 Books Before Kindergarten // Vail Public Library // embark on a lifelong journey with your child. Although it may sound overwhelming to imagine reading 1,000 books before Kindergarten, it is not very difficult with an early start. At the rate of just one book per day, it takes less than three years. What child lets you stop with just one book at bedtime? Create a reading log to begin your child’s reading journey! 1,000 Books is a fun way to enjoy time together with your little one.

An empty Kleenex box and dollar bills. Tape the dollar bills together end to end with Scotch tape. Obviously the more dollar bills the greater the “WOW”. Stuff them in the Kleenex box with just one dollar sticking out of the box. It’s fun to watch someone’s eyes grow wider as they pull out the dollars that go on and on. Make a tag that says: ”Don’t “blow” it all in one place. The End. Happy Birthday.

This is genius!! Portable roads that are easy for kids to put together and will travel easily, made out of old denim and yellow paint; velcro helps them stick to carpet. Brilliant!
