The Dressmaker by Kate Alcott. I literally could not put this book down! This historical fiction focuses on the survivors of the Titanic. It raises the questions, what is: right and wrong; reality and pretense? The answers are seldom found in the juxtaposition of black and white. The finished product is a riveting story of self-discovery among a tangled web of conflict between the class system in England and America during the early 1900's.

This was the first and one of my favorite books that I red of Cecelia Ahern. Such a great book. Thanks for the Memories - With her marriage in pieces, Joyce Conway nearly lost everything else. But she survived the terrible accident that left her hospitalized—and now, inexplicably, she can remember faces she has never seen, cobblestone Parisian streets she's never visited.
Thanks for the Memories by Cecelia Ahern (Dec. 2011) Not as good as P.S. I Love You but a decent book none-the-less.

If You Could See Me Now. My favorite of Cecelia Ahern's books. Beautiful stories, often with a touch of fantasy. I pictured Johnny Depp as Ivan if the movie is ever made!

The Kingmakers Daughter (Cousins War 4) by Philippa Gregory
Such and amazing book!!! Defenetly worth reading!
Short review: A funny satire about a group of beauty pageant contestants that crash land on a deserted island. The main theme of the book is finding your real self and not living the life that others place upon you. It is not a deep book. The revelations are not that surprising. But it is a fun book and has a pretty good message. My full review is on my blog at http://bookwi.se/beauty-queens-2/

A plane of teen beauty pageant contestants is stranded on a desert island -- enough said! | Beauty Queens by Libba Bray
YOUNG ADULT PICK! Beauty Queens / Libba Bray ~ The fifty contestants in the Miss Teen Dream pageant thought this was going to be a fun trip to the beach. But sadly, their airplane had another idea, crashing on a desert island and leaving the survivors stranded with little food, little water, and practically no eyeliner. What's a beauty queen to do? Continue to practice for the talent portion of the program — or wrestle snakes to the ground?
#14- A book worth reading- I don't know what I would do if Libba stopped writing ( I'd probably stop breathing), this woman is funnier than a cat with bread on its face...well maybe equivalent in funniness. Anyway this is a book worth reading (also read "Going Bovine" by you guessed it, Libba Bray) #modcloth #makeitwork

Gemma Doyle Trilogy by Libba Bray. One of my very favorite book series.
Gemma Doyle Trilogy - A great and terrible beauty, Rebel Angels, & The Sweet Far Thing. A young adult/teen series that is an interesting read for the target audience. I enjoyed them although the first book is by far the best of the three. Some would argue that Libba Bray misses the chance to explore important issues. But I enjoyed them enough to read all three.
This trilogy is about a girl named Gemma Doyle who has lived in India for all of her life, even though she's British. She wants to go to England, and when her mother is murdered, she gets her wish. Gemma is sent to a boarding school in England where she discovers that she has magical powers that her mother also had. This is an amazing series!
The Lifeboat - Grace Winter, 22, is both a newlywed and a widow. She is also on trial for her life. In the summer of 1914, the elegant ocean liner carrying her and her husband Henry across the Atlantic suffers a mysterious explosion. Setting aside his own safety, Henry secures Grace a place in a lifeboat, which the survivors quickly realize is over capacity. For any to live, some must die.
The Lifeboat - by Charlotte Rogan (very interesting book)

Book #22 (C) Don't get me wrong by the C rating, this was a good book. Well planned, thoroughly thought out, and gracefully written, but it left me scratching my head thinking, there had to be something MORE. A bigger purpose, a more meaningful plot. After reading, I too felt like I had just spent 3 weeks floating around it the Atlantic Ocean waiting to be rescued. With as much potential for a grand revelation or a dramatic ending, there just wasn't one. I read it, it ended, that was it.

The Lady of the Rivers - can't get enough of this series... - i've read all her books! Brilliant UK Historical fiction
The Great, The Good and The Bad: Book Review: The Lady of Rivers by Philippa Gregory
When Jacquetta is married to the Duke of Bedford, English regent of France, he introduces her to a mysterious world of learning and alchemy. Her only friend in the great household is the duke’s squire Richard Woodville, who is at her side when the duke’s death leaves her a wealthy young widow. The two become lovers and marry in secret, returning to England to serve at the court of the young King Henry VI, where Jacquetta becomes a close and loyal friend to his new queen.
This is a book by philippa Gregory called the lady of the rivers it is all about the main character from the white queen Elizabeth Woodville's mother. This books goes along the same lines as the rest of the series. I think this one works well with the title of the book due to its blue hues but I think that the book covers for the cousins war series are too similar in style and I think they need to stand out from books by other authors who write about similar subjects.

GIANT GEORGE is the charming story of how this precocious puppy won Dave and Christie's hearts and along the way became a doggie superstar. In 2010, George was named by Guinness World Records as the Tallest Dog in the World-ever. He appeared on Oprah, and even has his own global fan club.
Giant George: Life with the World's Biggest Dog: Dave Nasser, Lynne Barrett-Lee. With his big blue eyes and soulful expression, George was the irresistible runt of the litter. But Dave and Christie Nasser's "baby" ended up being almost five feet tall, seven feet long, and 245 pounds. Eager to play, and boisterous to the point of causing chaos, this big Great Dane was scared of water, scared of dogs a fraction of his size and, most of all, scared of being alone.
Giant George : life with the world's biggest dog / by Dave Nasser with Lynne Barrett-Lee. The funny and heartwarming story of one couple's unexpected life with the 'runt of the litter' puppy who grew to be the largest dog in the world...in fact ever.

Childhood memories. I read a few of these to my kids....
The boxcar children were an all time favorite book series that stayed within my heart as I grew up. I remember It was one of the first books I wrote a report on. We would read out loud and discuss key points in chapters and fill out questions on what we read. What intrigued me the most was how independent they were. Each day I would ask myself how independent could I be like them.
What's Your Favorite Children's Book Series Says About You? I read a good amount of these but, The Boxcar Children, Magic Tree House and Bailey School Kids were my shit.
The Boxcar Children- one of my favorite childhood books!! Cant wait to read it to my babies
