Circle of control- this is a counseling tool for kids but so great for us all to remember! I would have them put their name in the smaller circle and things the can control in the larger circle, things out if their control outside the circles.
I actually wanted to be an art therapist! It was because of my experience with volunteering at Villa Esperanza which is a school for children with severe autism. It wasn’t until I volunteered 100 hours here did I realize how much I could contribute. I remember my first day I was terrified of interacting with someone with autism because I didn’t want to be disrespectful.
This game has multiple uses! 1. Builds community and relationships as it gives students time to talk about themselves. 2. Gets students talking and stringing together sentences with words they already know. 3. reviewing colors
"100 questions for couples to ask before getting married" One of the best lists we've seen.. Not just surface level questions. We did a few questions each day this week, and had some really great meaningful conversations. :)
