My consequence board we did for the kids last night. I have it hanging in the kitchen. And if they do something on the board, I ask them to go read the consequence, and that is their punishment. Time to straighten those two out.

Good idea, however I would change the "bad" behaviour/ consequences so it suits my son.

Simple discipline technique - being positive! I used to give time-out after time-out and this is more effective for my 6-year-old. I count 1-2-3 before moving his name down to give him a chance to correct. And an end-of-day reward is great incentive to stay in the 'Happy zone'.

I finally finished the kids reading nook area in our homeschooling classroom. I made a cushion pad and pillows. Also added the word " read". They are cardboard letters I picked up at Joanne's 50% off. Spray painted with metallic paint. I heard zeke reading to himself on a Sunday morning. It made me so happy that the hard work I have been doing for homeschooling my children is all worth it!

The Consequence Jar. That sounds pretty ominous, doesn& it? It& actually very effective at our house. It is a magical jar that saves me from loosing my mind and voice daily. The jar is full of little tasks the kids have to perform.
