Don't have jump cups for your standards and live in a dead town like I do? Go to your nearest hardware store and pick up some square threaded hardware like this. Has a plate on the other side and nuts on the end so you can hand tighten so it won't go anywhere. And the plate helps hold your pole in more! I have small PVC pipes.
