Carrier HMS Eagle at Malta in 1935. Ordered from Britain as a Chilean battleship, she was purchased by the Royal Navy before completion in 1918 and entered service as one of the earliest carriers in 1922. She was torpedoed and sunk in August 1942 by a U boat whilst covering the famous 'Pedestal' Malta relief convoy.
