There are various places around Mantua and Sabbioneta that were built for the Gonzaga family, many of them now on the UNESCO World Heritage list. If you look carefully here, you might pick one of the inspirations for Pierangelo's Gonzaga designs.
What a pity we missed this! In the first half of 2012, the Museo Diocesan Francesco Gonzaga had an exhibition on the life of Vincenzo Gonzaga: Duke, womaniser, patron and connoisseur. The exhibition was held in the Ducal Palace in Mantua, seat of power of the Gonzaga family for over four centuries, and one of the inspirations for Pierangelo's Gonzaga designs.
