Over time, towels build up detergent and fabric softener, leaving them unable to absorb as much water and smelling funky. Recharge them by washing them once with hot water and one cup vinegar, then a second time with hot water and a half cup of baking soda. This strips the residue and leaves them fresh and able to absorb more water again.

Im trying this: Idont use shampoo. It's been over two months since I've used shampoo and my results have been out of this world. My hair has grown a ridiculous amount and is now the longest it's ever been. It also takes 4 days for it to even get SLIGHTLY greasy, where as before it would start getting greasy in less than 18 hours. I will NEVER go back to regular shampoo.

Once a month, add a cup of Distilled White Vinegar & 1 Cup of Baking Soda directly into the drum and use HOT water for washing. Then, I add about ½ cup of vinegar into the fabric softener compartment and ½ cup of baking soda into the detergent compartment. Set the wash on “Quick Wash” with HOT water and High Spin Cycle. If the mold situation is really bad,use bleach instead of vinegar and baking soda. But make sure you run a few empty cycles just with hot water before doing a load of wash.

Clean Dishwasher: Place a dishwasher-safe cup filled with plain white vinegar on the top rack of the dishwasher. Using the hottest water available, run the dishwasher through a cycle. The vinegar will help to wash away the loose, greasy grime, sanitizes, and helps remove the musty odor. Next, sprinkle a cupful of baking soda around the bottom of the tub and run it through a short cycle. The baking soda will help freshen and removing stains.... good to do every 6 mths
