grace kelly + her bridesmaids. (1958) ~ No bride ever looked more beautiful or more elegant than Grace Kelly. Yet her dress was modest, right up to the neck. Those days seem to have passed. People wear dresses the length of t-shirts and call it a wedding dress, or they show everything they have. Why cheapen your beautiful wedding day?

Smybol of your second face. My therapist. i never managed to lie to him. i admired him as a child, and hated him at the same time, but the more i think about it ... it seems those who know peoples darkness are a black hole themselves. and i bet he is the biggest monster of us all.

Henri Matisse (1869-1954) started painting in 1889, and exclusively after 1891, initially painting in traditional style. In 1898 he travelled to Corsica, inspired by light and color. In Paris he studied the work of the Greats. In 1904 he experimented with pointillism. In 1905, Matisse began to use broader brushstrokes and expressive colors. In 1917 Matisse moved to Nice. For some ten years his work became more tempered and ‘classical’. Confined to a wheelchair in 1941, he did decoupage.

The original Pennsylvania Station (Penn Station) in New York City, a beautiful Beaux-Arts building designed by McKim, Mead and White. It opened on September 8, 1910. Its demolition began in 1963. The Pennsylvania Plaza complex with the fourth Madison Square Garden was completed there in 1968.

Building/structure dates: 1903 initial construction Building/structure dates: 1963 demolished
Opened to the public in 1910, NYC's Pennsylvania Station featured a dramatic vaulted glass ceiling over its expansive main concourse & was inspired in part by the Roman Baths of Caracalla, giving visitor & commuter alike an experience of grandeur in entering & leaving the city. The decision in 1962 to demolish & replace the old station ultimately proved to be key moments in the birth of the historical preservation movement; a movement that came too late to save Penn Station itself.
Pennsylvania Station or Penn Station was originally called New York Terminal. It opened in 1910 and was considered a masterpiece of the Beaux-Arts style inspired by the grand train stations of Europe. This picture was taken only 2 years before the demolition in 1963, which was part of a plan for the new modern underground train station that currently handles over 500,000 passengers per day making Penn Station North America's busiest transportation hub. #TBT #NYC #BookLHC #PennStation
