It explores his familly's roots and the personality traits that helped drive RG3 to become the charismatic individual who stole the hearts of the DC area in 2012.

Quiet Strength: The Principles, Practices, and Priorities of a Winning Life by Tony Dungy, Wow, what a great book. Awesome story. Found a new respect for Coach Dungy
One of the favorite books given to me by one of my best friends.
A biography of the coach of the Indianapolis Colts and the first African American football coach to lead his team to a Superbowl victory concentrates on his religious life as well as his career in football.
Title is a good description of this man who coached the Colts to a Super Bowl victory in 2007. A man of deep faith who articulates it by word and action. Tested over time. Worth reading. Even better if you have an interest in sports, but not the only reason to read it.

Brian's Song... a true tear jerker… This was one of my favorite movies when I was growing up. 1976/1977
Brian's Song (1971) - story of courageous Brian Piccolo and friend Gayle Sayers, both playing for the Chicago Bears. This movie in my opinion is the greatest sports movie every made. For a number reasons.
True story - great movie - sad movie - Brian's Song is a 1971 ABC Movie of the Week that recounts the details of the life of Brian Piccolo (played by James Caan), a Wake Forest University football player stricken with terminal cancer after turning pro, told through his friendship with Chicago Bears running back teammate and Pro Football Hall of Famer Gale Sayers (Billy Dee Williams), who helps him through the difficult struggle.

The last headbangers : NFL football in the rowdy, reckless '70s, the era that created modern sports
Between the Immaculate Reception in 1972 and The Catch in 1982, pro football grew up. In 1972, Steelers star Franco Harris hitchhiked to practice. NFL teams roomed in skanky motels. They played on guts, painkillers, legal steroids, fury, and camaraderie. A decade later, Joe Montana’s gleamingly efficient 49ers ushered in a new era: the corporate, scripted, multibillion-dollar NFL we watch today.

Black Sunday (1977). [R] 143 mins. Starring: Robert Shaw, Bruce Dern, Marthe Keller, Fritz Weaver, Bekim Fehmiu and William Daniels
This 1977 Action packed Film never won any Awards for acting, Directing or Special Effects but I like it enough to place it on my Top 100. Terrorists take over the GOODYEAR BLIMP and pack it with explosive rocket darts, then attempt to fly it into the SUPER BOWL. Bruce Dern plays a great Psychotic Pilot and Robert Shaw is in charge of stopping him !
