Got an idea! Have a 'cutest pet' contest where students bring in their pet pics and write a persuasive essay on why their pet should win. Display around room and let students vote. Then tally and use math skills such as graphing, more than, less than, etc. I love integrated lessons and this one definitely offers the teacher an opportunity to be creative in various disciplines..
