"With This Curse" is set in 1873 at the Cornwall estate of Gravesend Hall--a house that is rumored to be cursed. The heroine, Clara, blames the curse for ruining her life when she was a teen and killing the man she loved. Now she has the chance to return to Gravesend as the bride of the heir, Atticus--but will she find more sinister forces awaiting her?

The folly where Clara and Richard used to meet was probably a little less elaborate than this one (Wimpole's Folly), but the atmosphere is perfect. Starting in the 18th century, there was a real vogue for faux ruins like this. Wimpole's Folly is shown on the cover of With This Curse.
