Mexico Teotihuacan This May 22, 2014 photo released by Mexico's National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH), shows a sculpture unearthed by investigators at the Teotihuacan archeological site in Mexico. Mexican archaeologists have concluded a yearslong exploration of a tunnel sealed nearly 2,000 years ago at the ancient city of Teotihuacan and found thousands of relics. Teotihuacan dominated central Mexico centuries before the rise of the Aztecs in the 14th century.

Detalle de un entierro colectivo de sacrificados,como parte de la consagracion a la piramide de Quetzalcoalt,La Serpiente Emplumada.200 años DC  Todos los cuerpos tenian las manos amarradas en la espalda y portaban un collar hecho con piezas que simulaban mandibulas,pero habia otros sujetos que portaban mandibulas humanas autenticas.

Fresco en una de las habitaciones,que seguramente pertenecieron a algun noble.  Los barrios de los artesanos y agricultores,no mostraron indicios de ser un grupo empobrecido,pues las contrucciones no eran de adobe,si no hechas con materiales nobles.

Besides the major ceremonial pyramids, there were also palaces and temples, especially near the north end of the city surrounding the plaza in front of the Pyramid of the Moon. These included the Palace of Quetzalcoatl, the Butterfly Palace, the Temple of the Feathered Conches, and the Palace of the Jaguars. The sophistication and artistry of the Teotihuacanos can be seen everywhere in the magnificent murals and stone carvings which adorn the walls of the palaces and apartment compounds.
