The Hyperloop. "Elon Musk, billionaire and founder of Paypal, electric-car firm Tesla Motors and space technology company SpaceX, has revealed designs for Hyperloop - a supersonic Jetsons-style transportation system for California. Travelling at over 700 mph, passengers would sit in a 1.35-metre-wide tube and be blasted through the 382-mile tunnel linking Los Angeles and San Francisco in just 30 minutes." South Korea based industrial designer Kim Seongjin, a recent graduate from Hongik University, has designed a digital camera that pays homage to Dieter Rams. Rams’s work in the 1950’s and 60’s for German consumer products giant, Braun, has proved to be hugely inspirational over the years and so Seongjin has designed this simple, minimal, and incredibly beautiful digital camera concept. One that I would love to see produced.

Artist: Pablo Picasso Title: Girl Before A Mirror, 1903 Medium: Oil on Canvas Size: 64 X 51 1/4" Discussion: Picasso during his Cubist period used shape and color to tell a story within his painting. According to the MoMA , "Her face is darkened, her eyes are round and hollow, and her intensely feminine body is twisted and contorted. She seems older and more anxious. The diamond-patterned wallpaper recalls the costume of the Harlequin, with whom Picasso often identified himself"
Picasso was a Spanish painter and sculptor.Picasso creativity manifested itself in numerous mediums. His revolutionary artistic accomplishments brought him universal renown and immense fortunes throughout his life, making him the best-known figure in twentieth century art. To say that Pablo Picasso dominated Western art in the 20th century is commonplace. Before his 50th birthday, the little Spaniard from Malaga had become the very prototype of the modern artist as public figure. #2B

My all time favorite painting. Never gets old!!! The Starry Night - Vincent van Gogh -I could literally stare at this forever. Simply breathtaking
Possibly my favorite painting. The Starry Night - Vincent van Gogh - Painted in June 1889 while in the Saint-Rémy Asylum - Current location: Museum of Modern Art, New York, USA - Note: A view from the window in his bedroom. Although a night scene, it was painted during the day. Van Gogh mailed this one to brother Theo in late 1889. He also wrote that he was not so happy about the work, which did not seem complete, as he had originally intended it to simply be a study of the night sky. ...............#GT

Guernica, 1937 by Pablo Picasso. Picasso painted Guernica as an reaction to the bombing of the Basque town of Guearnica during the Spanish Civil War
"Guernica" (1937) Pablo Picasso - Created in response to the bombing of Guernica, Basque Country, by German and Italian warplanes at the behest of the Spanish Nationalist forces on 26 April 1937 during the Spanish Civil War. Guernica shows the tragedies of war and the suffering it inflicts upon individuals, particularly innocent civilians.
Guernica, 1937, Pablo Picasso. Created in response to the bombings of Guernica in Basque by German and Italian forces during the Spanish Civil War.
Guernica Inspired by the bombing of Guernica, Spain, during the Spanish Civil War, Pablo Picasso completed this most famous piece, Guernica, in 1937. This piece was originally commissioned by the Spanish government and intended to depict the suffering of war and ultimately stand as symbol for peace.
Pablo Picasso. Guernica 1937.
Pablo Picasso Guernica 1937. Possibly the greatest piece of art ever and a powerful anti-war statement, showing the bombing of Guernica during the Spanish civil war by Nazi Germany. The suffering is evident throughout. The prominent bull and horse, 2 important figures in Spanish history were used many times by Picasso. The lack of colour heightens the drama and suffering, while impact is also given by the paintings size - 3.5m tall and 8m wide. More here http://www.pablopicasso.org/guernica.jsp.
