Argentinian artist Leandro Erlich created this fake pool called The Swimming Pool, for The 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art in Kanazawa, Japan. Leandro put two clear acrylic glasses about a foot apart and filled the space in between with water. The top surface is also filled with about 4 to 5 inches of water so that it looks like a realistic pool.

Japanese Fake Pool: Argentinian artist Leandro Erlich created this illusion of people walking underwater called The Swimming Pool, for The 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art in Kanazawa, Japan. It's pretty much a piece of glass with water on top of it, and empty space on the bottom.
Art installation by Leandro Erlich features what appears to be a real swimming pool . People walk around beneath the surface of the water , and people walk around above the surface of the water looking down. To make the illusion, a thin layer of water was suspended over glass. Below the glass, there is an empty room that visitors can enter. PS1 Art Center in New York and the 21st Century Art Museum in Kanazawa, Japan.

Horsetail Fall, located in Yosemite National Park in California, is a seasonal waterfall that flows in the winter and early spring. The fall occurs on the east side of El Capitan. If Horsetail Fall is flowing in February and the weather conditions are just right, the setting sun illuminates the waterfall, making it glow orange and red. This natural phenomenon is often referred to as the "Firefall", a name that pays homage to the man-made Firefall that once took place in Yosemite.

Disco Aurora lights - would love to see this!
A two-stage Terrier-Black Brant rocket arcs through an auroral display 200 miles above Alaska's Poker Flat Research Range as the MICA mission investigates the underlying physics of the northern lights. In this long-exposure photo, the rocket's first stage has just separated and is seen falling back to Earth. The green arc toward the top of the photo is a scientific laser that's shooting into the sky to make profiles of the atmosphere.
he team camped out in Fairbanks, Alaska for the shot, using a 40-foot twin stage Terrier-Black Brant rocket to loft electric and magnetic field sensors into the natural wonder specifically to measure the effects on electrical conductivity of Alfvén waves, which form some of the long ribbons seen on Northern Lights displays. After intense solar storms, the rocket hit its target around 200 miles up, broadcasting real-time data as it went.
