This creation on habotai silk is much more luxurious with greater sheen than the finer silks. The turquoise and browns allowed me to showcase Nelly's deep brown fleece. Tiny champagne glass beads were strung on alpaca yarn and felted in to the garment.
Cobweb Sherbet surprises by combining deep swatches of wine and bright orange across a rosy pastel palette. These unlikely combinations can brighten or deepen an outfit.
The piece entitle Gentle Geometric uses fine silk chiffon wrapped around rusty farm implements using vinegar, water and air exposure to enhance the oxidation process. Alpaca (Creemore's fibre only) was laid across the silk and rolled in to alpaca 'fingers'.
Garden at Midnight features sheer Georgette silk crepe with banana silk yarn, alpaca, merino, and silk hankie. Notice the effect of dyeing after creating.how dye tends to grab and darken around the fibre and silk.
This piece entitled Cotton Candy combines silk, merino, alpaca, cotton cheesecloth and wool locks to produce a monochromatic piece that is dyed after it is created. Notice how different materials hold the acid reactive dye differently.
