The shame is mid-century architecture is not respected or protected. The clean lines and stark spatial definition create a style of order echoing the era of the 1950’s to 1970’s. Cape Coral, Fl is the city I live in. Mid-century is abundant here. The city was founded in 1956 making the oldest structure built that same year. As Cape Coral develops, many of the older structures are torn down or updated without giving a nod to the pure beauty of the cities origins.
